Protein Route

Second-source proteins and amino acids for European food and feed manufacturers

Since 25 September 2026 Chinese pea protein carries an EU anti-dumping duty of 40.5–67.1%. European food manufacturers need a second origin; North-American and other non-Chinese producers need a representative who already knows who buys what in Europe. Protein Route is that representative: commission-only, data-driven, based between Rotterdam and Poland.

Not only pea protein: lysine and valine

The same mechanism now applies to feed-grade amino acids. Lysine from China carries a definitive EU anti-dumping duty of 47.7–58.2% (Regulation (EU) 2025/1330) and is under an absorption investigation since April 2026 with imports registered for retroactive collection; EU consumption is 410,000–450,000 t a year and non-Chinese capacity in Korea, Indonesia, Brazil and the USA exceeds the whole EU market. L-valine carries 31.3–53.8% (Regulation (EU) 2026/319) with 78–88% of EU supply still Chinese. Feed compounders and premix makers need a second origin for both; one agency relationship covers both products.

How we work

  • You invoice the customer directly. We never take title, never touch the goods, never collect payments. Commission is due only on paid invoices.
  • Data first. Monthly Eurostat Comext monitoring by country and origin, Commission trade-defence tracking, and a mapped buyer base with product-level evidence of pea protein use.
  • Qualified conversations, not cold lists. Volumes, current supplier, decision-maker and trial timeline before any sample is shipped.
  • Compliance by design. No origin games, no circumvention, sanctions screening, business-contact data only.
